Are you an experienced grant writer passionate about helping individuals achieve economic mobility and stability? Do you excel at crafting compelling narratives that resonate with funders and drive impact? We are looking for a talented grant writer who shares our vision of offering a "hand up" rather than a "hand out" to work beside our mission-driven team.

About Us

Our Central Florida nonprofit helps financially vulnerable and underserved Central Floridians by empowering them to increase their income through meaningful work, access to free resources, and financial literacy. We provide pathways for individuals to achieve long-term success, and we are looking for a skilled grant writer to help us acquire the funds needed to continue making a lasting difference.

Role Overview

As our grant writer, you will play a key role in securing funding for our programs that uplift and empower financially vulnerable individuals and families. You will work closely with our leadership to develop high-quality grant proposals that align with funders' priorities, demonstrating our organization’s track record of success and capacity to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities

• Craft clear, compelling, and well-organized grant narratives tailored to the requirements of each funder.

• Highlight the significance and urgency of the issues we address, using data and real-life stories to engage funders.

• Showcase our organization’s expertise, past successes, and partnerships that increase our project’s credibility.

• Align our proposals with funder objectives, ensuring we meet all evaluation criteria to maximize scoring potential.

• Use SMART goals and measurable outcomes to clearly demonstrate the feasibility and impact of our projects.

• Collaborate with our team to gather all necessary information, including budgets, timelines, and program evaluations.

• Edit and proofread all submissions to avoid technical flaws and ensure clarity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in grant writing, with a track record of successfully securing funds for nonprofits.

• Strict confidentiality.

• Strong ability to craft narratives that not only tell a story but also strategically address funders' evaluation criteria.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise proposals.

• Familiarity with Central Florida’s nonprofit landscape is a plus.

• Commitment to completing 7-9 grants per month throughout the year with unused hours/# of grants written rolling to the following month. $1,200-$1,400 monthly.

Why Join Us?

You will be joining a passionate team that values empowerment and sustainability. We believe in equipping individuals with the tools to transform their lives, and we are looking for someone who shares that belief. If you are driven by the desire to make a tangible impact through your grant writing expertise, this role is for you.
