The Analytics and Integrated Planning (AIP) division brings expertise in strategic planning, advanced analysis, reporting and institutional research. Its explicit mission is to leverage institutional data with enhanced analytics, thereby empowering robust decision-making across the institution. AIP includes enterprise analytics, data strategy, data governance, data literacy, workday reporting, and institutional research.
The Opportunity:
The UCF Analytics and Integrated Planning (AIP) team is seeking an experienced Enterprise Report Writer IV. The Workday Enterprise Report Writer is required to provide development and subject matter expertise for Workday reporting needs including dashboards and other delivered Workday analytics tools. This position provides support for all levels of Workday users in Finance, Grants, Human Resources, and Case Management; this position also serves as a Workday Report Administrator.
Classification Title: Application Systems Analyst IV
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all work activities associated with the design, build, test, maintenance, enhancement of Workday custom reports/dashboards, including the review and sign off process with Business Process Owners and WES Team Members.
Develop and maintain simple to complex Workday reports, including matrix and composite reports.
Responsible for understanding UCF Workday HR, Finance, and Grants data to translate business requirements into understandable and user-friendly reports and dashboards.
Develop report specifications, standards, frameworks across Financial/HR/Grant domains and functional areas to ensure report optimization, security model alignment, and Workday best practices. Participate in report reviews, including understanding and ensuring security and data privacy standards.
Analyze Workday delivered reports, determining whether current reports can be leveraged/configured/optimized or whether new custom reports are required.
Proactively identify and resolve data and reporting issues.
As Workday Report Administrator, validate the audit, reconciliation, and Workday Release reviews associated with Workday custom report management processes.
Follow established standards and change management processes including report documentation.
Contribute to the development and establishment of processes, procedures, and policies related to Workday reporting.
Provide, cultivate, and foster excellent customer service, including training and orientation of new users assigned Report Writer or Unit Report Writer roles.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience with Workday reporting tools, with demonstrated knowledge of HR, payroll, finance, and grants data and related processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team-based environment.
Possess strong collaborative and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and administration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
