Student Success and Well-Being Center for Higher Education Innovation:

The Center for Higher Education Innovation at the University of Central Florida serves the Division of Student Success & Well-Being (SSWB) primarily by providing project management and program evaluation services to SSWB units. The Center's mission is to facilitate collaboration among all campus partners to proactively foster student success and well-being. It fulfills this mission by partnering with student success leaders and researchers at UCF and across the nation to inspire, develop, pilot, evaluate and disseminate projects, innovations, and research that improve higher education access, success, and post-completion achievements for all UCF students.

The Opportunity:

UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being Center for Higher Education is seeking applications for an Administrative Project Manager I. This position plays a crucial role in advancing the academic and institutional goals of the Division of Student Success and Well-Being by supporting initiatives that directly impact student success and well-being and promote a culture of innovation. Reporting to the Director of the Center for Higher Education Innovation, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects that support student success and well-being, while ensuring that they align with the University’s mission to unleash the potential of UCF Knights. This position will be hired as a University Innovation Alliance Fellow which is a rotating program designed to train up and coming leaders in student success and well-being.

This position is designed to be a two-year limited role with excellent opportunity for advanced placement upon completion.

This position/classification may be moved at management’s discretion within the SSWB division to a commensurate level position as determined by the Sr. Vice President of Student Success and Well-Being or his/her designee.

This is a visiting and renewable position. Visiting positions are based on circumstances, such funding sources, which control the length of time for which the position is available. Position will be renewable up to four years.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Determines and defines project stakeholders, scope, schedule, objectives, and work plan.

Predicts resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.

Plans and estimates costs based on scope of work and resource requirement.

Coordinate and lead project teams, ensuring clear communication and account.

Identifies obstacles and makes strategic adjustments as necessary.

Manages contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.

Provides solutions to obstacles that arise during project execution.

Provides regular project updates to various stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

Controls scope of projects, and keeps team on task with minimal variance from project objectives.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Reviews project objectives and outcomes with stakeholders to ensure all deliverables have been achieved.

Completes all required organizational, contractual, and other types of documentation.

Develop and implement evaluation mechanisms to measure project success and impact on student success and well-being metrics.

Prepare and present regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Innovation:

Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing best practices, emerging technologies, and creative solutions in higher education.

Budget Management:

Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Master's degree

Four years or more of project management experience in student success at a higher education institution
