POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide Project Management for construction projects, from design through completion of construction. Accountable for construction project activity, tailored to each contract’s general conditions, technical specifications, and drawings. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to manage, plan, and accomplish the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority’s (Aviation Authority) goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, or related field and four (4) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. Previous airport construction experience or experience in an architectural or engineering firm, commercial construction company or governmental agency with responsibility for compliance and enforcement activities is preferred.
Demonstrated planning, time-management, and organizational skills.
Estimating, project and program scheduling, design, architectural, engineering and construction expertise.
Commercial construction including complex renovation projects desired.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in use of computers.
Must be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate airport operations.
Valid Florida driver’s license.
Professional Engineer and/or Contractor’s license is desirable.
Certification in a specialty subject area(s), which may benefit the Aviation Authority, is desirable.
