About Our Nursing Program

The Valencia College Nursing Program offers a two-year Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program as well a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing ( R.N to B.S.N.). With approximately 800 students, both degrees offer opportunities for specialization. The nationally accredited programs at Valencia College are among the best for preparing students for nursing careers, by connecting students directly to situations nurses face today. The Opportunity

The Dean of Nursing will lead a multi-campus team committed to ensuring the integrity of the academic program and processes that support the Valencia Learning Centered focus all aimed at accomplishing Valencia’s Strategic Impact Plan.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited University with a major in Nursing.
Five (5) years of progressive responsibility providing leadership within a clinical setting.
Must have current, active, and unencumbered licensure in the State of Florida as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of the start date.

Additional Information:

This is a primarily onsite position located at the West Campus, but it will require you to drive to various College-Wide Campus Locations as needed.
This position is not eligible for Veteran’s Preference under Florida Statute 295.07(5)(a), F.S.
Please note that you will need to establish Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.
