(Training available)

We will provide the legal training that is necessary to be a part of our team, however, the person should have experience with Microsoft Office. The person will be trained in all facets of estate planning and probate.

The immediate training will be for the tasks of answering the phone, scheduling appointments, filing, and doing the billing.

Over the course of the following few days, the new person will be trained to assist in the preparation of the portfolio, and execution of estate planning documents. Over the first month, the training will be expanded to include drafting and recording deeds, assembling LLC operating books, and possibly drafting simple documents. Ultimately, over the course of the first eighteen to twenty-four months or so, the training will be expanded to include scheduling hearings, dealing with Judicial (judges’) assistants, communicating with other law firms, filing probate estate documents, and actually creating estate planning documents. When all the training is completed, the person will have a vast knowledge of legal matters and operating a law office.

Our office is not like those advertising on television; we assist people who are wanting to provide for their loved ones when they graduate to heaven. We help families when a deceased person hasn’t taken the time to prepare their estate to pass seamlessly when they died. We counsel people on how to take care of family members when they need to go into a nursing home, or how to provide for a child that is addicted to drugs, or how to provide a family member that is permanently disabled or a parent or grandparent that is suffering from dementia, and etc. etc. Ours is a helping office, not a lets go sue everyone office. They, too, have their place, but that’s not us.

We are small (three assistants and two attorneys). Until recently we had virtually zero turnover. Our employees generally stay twenty years and more.

Although we can’t offer benefits, our pay scale is at the high end for legal assistants.
