Job Summary

The Enterprise Systems Manager is directly responsible for all Enterprise Systems and associated databases. Works collaboratively with college staff to thoroughly document problems and needs, analyze data and develop complex programming solutions for the full benefit of the college. Performs as the primary security officer to ensure accounts and data accesses are regularly reviewed and updated. Acts as backup to the Director of Enterprise Systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Meet daily with Enterprise Application Developers to ensure institutional and 3rd party projects meet LSSC standards.
Work closely with Enterprise Application Administrators to ensure all databases are running smoothly, patches are installed and upgrades are implemented in a timely manner, works with end users to ensure proper testing is completed before production upgrades meeting LSSC standards.

Train direct reports in project development, programming techniques and assists in problem-solving.
Manage all database systems, focuses on development of associated systems to support mission critical applications for the full benefit of LSSC. Acts as backup to the Director of Enterprise Systems.

Design, develop, document, and implement stored procedures, packages, Application Express, public functions and other complex SQL queries and processes with appropriate levels of error checking.
Design, develop, document and implement automated solutions for labor intensive projects and for regularly scheduled data loads.
Meet face-to-face or remotely in groups to thoroughly document problems and needs, analyze data and works closely with the Enterprise Systems Project Manager to develop project timelines and expected completion dates.
Continue to meet and communicate with stakeholders until requests are completed to LSSC standards.
Act as primary security officer, review user accounts and security classes. Coordinate with department heads and Director of Enterprise Systems to ensure accounts are current and meeting LSSC standards.
Handle security and data requests for the State Auditor General’s office.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls and outputs.
Ability to test and debug computer programs. Ability to review and analyze systems specifications to determine whether all required elements have been included.
Ability to handle multiple assignments through prioritization and time management, and effectively documenting and communicating status of projects and issues to management and Information Technology personnel.
Ability to exercise critical human relation skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with the college community.

Strong understanding of data integration processes and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts.
Proficiency in SQL and database management.
Experience with project management and stakeholder communication.

Minimum Qualifications & Education

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field required or four years of directly related full-time work experience.
Minimum of three years of experience in computer development work with a project-based focus and experience working with teams.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with data management and reporting.
